Approach

Understand the situation, then act where leverage is highest

Every engagement starts from your situation. The goal is to make the company clearer, stronger, and more able to execute with less friction.

The first job is to understand what is actually happening: how decisions are made, where information gets lost, what depends on too few people, and what is already costing more than it should. Some things deserve attention right away, others later. The work is to find the interventions that change the situation: better decisions, clearer responsibilities, stronger systems, smoother execution. The right level of structure depends on the stage of the company: enough framework to carry the growth, enough flexibility to keep the pace. Sometimes the right answer is a decision. Sometimes it is a reorganization. Sometimes it is a system, a tool, an integration, or a better workflow. When the situation calls for it, the work goes beyond diagnosis. A good engagement leaves behind clearer decisions, better-owned systems, useful documentation, and an organization that is less dependent on the person who stepped in.

Working principles

Results before deliverables

An engagement is judged by what it improves: execution, clarity, the quality of important decisions. The rest is scenery.

What works beats what shines

Good solutions are the ones that hold where you are: your team, your constraints, your pace, your level of maturity, and your ability to absorb change.

Every engagement should leave useful traces behind

An engagement should leave at least one of these behind:

  • better clarity;
  • a stronger system;
  • a more legible organization;
  • better-framed decisions;
  • useful documentation;
  • a more autonomous team.

Transfer is part of the work

A successful engagement leaves the company able to function better without it. That is the test.

The consultant

Nicolas Mussat

Two scale-ups built from the inside.

At MeilleursAgents, I structured the full operating system of the company — information systems, processes, teams — through a phase of growth that ultimately led to its acquisition by Axel Springer. At Prose, I laid the operational foundations for a personalized beauty company designed to scale internationally.

The common thread is the same: take an imperfect reality, clarify what matters, install the right systems, and leave the organization more capable than it was before.

I work directly, on my own. My recommendations answer to your situation and to nothing else: independence from vendors and integrators is part of the model.

If this way of working fits how you think, let’s talk.
